Our Story
The Woman Of Color project was founded in June 2018 by fifteen year old Christine Mazzi. Growing up in the Bay Area provided a lot of diversity for Mazzi, however she still found it difficult to love herself and her heritage during her middle school years. Upon arriving in high school she found the light at the end of the tunnel. their lack-of-self-confidence funk come high school. She also wishes to target those who are amidst their pre-teen years and need a little sneak peak of what could (and will ) be them. "I have always been a big advocate for showing rather than telling. This platform is my way of showing these girls that they too can make it.[It is a way] To show them that their skin color and heritage should not stop them, but instead push them to achieve even greater things with pride", said our CEO.
